Beachcombing in Île de Ré ended up being way better than I could have ever imagined! I expected to find a few oyster shells and instead ended up finding a bunch of fossilized shells! The photo does not do these justice – the rows in the middle are hard as rocks and about an inch thick, with both sides of the shell still intact. I wonder how old they are?
